Boarding procedures
Please be at the port 20 minutes prior to departure. Please check-in at the Otsu Port ticket counter. After completing boarding procedures, please relax in the waiting room until boarding begins. The boarding gates will open 10 minutes before departure.

Now it is time to start your cruise on the Michigan. The crew will guide you to the restaurant venue. Enjoy a luxurious and relaxing lunch. After your meal, you can also watch live performances on the 3rd floor. (Free tour)

From the Sky Deck on the 4th Floor of the boat, you can encounter a panoramic view of Lake Biwa. Please enjoy the magnificent view of Lake Biwa.

The Michigan is full of photo spots. The ship has an extraordinary theme, with gorgeous interior including luxurious carpets and chandeliers that any photo you take can turn into to a piece of art. We also recommend the observation room where you can see the wheelhouse. We also have trick art exhibitions on the 4th Floor. In addition, the Michigan, which is also known as Japan’s first lover’s sacred place as a ship, has a “hidden heart mark” somewhere!!

During the cruise(after your meal), crew members called the Michigan Purser will provide a live performance to lighten up the atmosphere! Events vary by season, so you can enjoy different performances at other times of the year.

Arrival at the Otsu Port
After a 90 minute cruise, you will return to Otsu Port. We hope you enjoyed the wonderful cruise on Lake Biwa. After the morning cruise, you will have enough time to enjoy sightseeing other areas of Shiga and Lake Biwa in the afternoon.

Please be present at the Otsu Port (5-1-1 Hamaotsu, Otsu City) at least 20 minutes prior to departure. Weekends and holidays can be more crowded than weekdays so please allow some extra time to your arrival.

- <Luggage service> There are coin lockers at the waiting room of Otsu Port, if necessary.
- <Customers with infants> We have a Nursing Room and space for changing diapers. For more information, ask the cabin crew or refer to the guide map.
- <Wheelchair accessibility> Wheelchair access available from 1F to 3F (1F-3F/Elevator, 1 barrier-free toilet available on 1F) 4F Sky deck accessible by stairs only.
- <Wheelchair accessibility> 2 Barrier-free toilets available at Otsu Port Terminal.
- Bicycles may not be brought on-board.
- Free Wi-fi available on-board. (Lake Biwa Free Wi-fi) However, there maybe connection problems depending on the route, signal condition, and etc.
- Refunds for cancellations vary from credit card company to credit card company.
